Meet Our Staff
The staff at B. H. Barkalow, P.C. consists of a Senior Biomedical Engineer, an Information Resource Manager, and a Financial Associate.

Dr. Bruce H. Barkalow, President of B. H. Barkalow, P.C.
Bruce H. Barkalow, Ph.D., PE, CCE
Bruce is the president and founder of B. H. Barkalow, P.C. He has more than thirty years of experience as a Biomedical Engineering consult, having starting his consulting career in 1977 and founding the present company in 1986. Prior to this, Dr. Barkalow served as Department Head of Biomedical Engineering for Sutter Community Hospitals, in Sacramento, California, as a Biomedical Engineering consultant to the Harvard Medical Center, and consultant to ECRI. Bruce is a dedicated outdoorsman. In addition, he is a martial arts sensei and founder of the Bassai Karate Academy. When not traveling the country conducting forensic investigations, Bruce can be found at home with his trusty hunting dogs.
William E. Grant, M.A., M.L.I.S.
Bill has been serving as the company’s Information Resource Manager for the past four years. He supervises the office staff and uses his skills as both Medical Librarian and Forensic Anthropologist to provide case-related research assistance as well as editing and proofing of documents. Bill is an avid outdoorsman, who especially loves spending hours in quiet solitude high up in the trees during Michigan’s beautiful autumn to harvest venison for his family. Aside from this, he also enjoys spending time with his wife and young children, and playing Frisbee with his neurotic dog, Frank.
Travis J. Barkalow
Aside from being Dr. Barkalow’s son, Travis is the Financial and Business Assistant for the firm. He began work during the summer of 1999. Travis is responsible for the accounts payable and receivable, computer network and maintenance, as well as other miscellaneous office issues. Travis enjoys hunting a variety of Michigan wildlife, such as partridge (ruffed grouse), woodcock, turkey, ducks, deer and rabbits. You can check out some of these hunts on our Recreation Page. When not answering the call of the wild, Travis enjoys investing in the stock market. Although he also loves animals, Travis finds his pet cactus to be much less demanding on his valuable time.
